Book a High-End Party Band for Your Corporate Event or Private Celebration

Live music changes everything. A great party band doesn’t just perform – it reads the room, builds energy, pulls people onto the dance floor, and creates the kind of shared experience that guests talk about for years afterward. Gulf Coast Entertainment has been matching clients with exactly the right live bands since 1979.

Specialty & Hybrid Acts: Acoustic duos, DJ + live musician combinations, string quartets, tribute acts, and custom-configured ensembles.

What Does It Cost to Book a Party Band?

Live band fees vary based on the size of the act, the performers’ individual profiles, travel requirements, and the length of the performance:

  • 4-6 piece cover band: $6,000 – $15,000
  • 8-10 piece band with horns and backing vocals: $15,000 – $30,000+
  • High-profile or nationally recognized act: $30,000 – $75,000+

We provide clear, upfront pricing – talent fees, any travel costs, and production requirements – before you make any commitment.

How We Match Bands to Events

The best band for your event depends on your audience, the venue, the tone you want to set, and your timeline. We ask the right questions upfront and send you a curated shortlist – not a directory. Every band we recommend has been vetted personally, and we stand behind every booking.

Types of Bands We Book

Full bands – typically 6 to 12 pieces – performing top hits across every decade and genre. Our most requested entertainment type for corporate galas, private parties, and fundraising events.

Purpose-built to keep people moving. Repertoire spans pop, R&B, funk, classic rock, and Top 40.

From elegant trios to full big bands. Perfect for cocktail hours, black-tie events, and sophisticated private celebrations.

Two performers face off in real time, taking requests and feeding off the crowd. One of our most reliably successful formats for corporate events.

Brass-driven processions that create unforgettable moments – leading guests between spaces or launching a celebration.

Can a variety band cover multiple genres and eras to suit different parts of my event?2026-09-08T17:23:26+00:00

Yes! That flexibility is the core strength of a variety band. The same band can play background jazz or classics from the Great American Songbook during dinner and close out the night with a high-energy dance set.

Do variety bands bring their own equipment?2026-09-08T17:23:27+00:00

Most variety bands travel with their own sound and lighting equipment, and that is included in their fee. For larger events, destination venues, or specific production requests (like intelligent lighting or a large stage setup), additional production may need to be sourced separately. An entertainment booking agency can coordinate this for you.

What is piece count, and why does it matter?2026-09-08T17:23:57+00:00

Piece count (pc) refers to the number of musicians in the group. A 4 pc band has four musicians; a 10 pc band has ten. Piece count is one of the primary drivers of cost, because each additional musician adds to the artist’s fee. It also affects the sound and energy level—a larger band with horns and backup vocals creates a bigger, more dynamic sound.

What makes Gulf Coast Entertainment different from online booking marketplaces like GigSalad?2026-09-08T17:23:57+00:00

Online marketplaces are self-serve directories where you browse and book on your own. Gulf Coast Entertainment is a relationship-driven booking agency – we vet talent, curate proposals according to our clients’ needs, handle negotiations and contracts, and serve as your advocate throughout the entire process. We have been in business for almost 50 years and work to match you with the right act for your specific audience and event goals.

Will the band learn special song requests, like a first dance or a special request?2026-09-08T17:23:27+00:00

Many variety bands are open to learning a limited number of custom song requests, especially for weddings or milestone events. This should be discussed and confirmed with the artist ahead of time, since bands will need time to chart the music, rehearse, etc. Some bands charge an additional fee for any learned songs.

How long do variety acts typically perform, and how many sets or breaks are included?2026-09-08T17:23:27+00:00

Most variety bands perform in a standard format of three 60-minute sets over the course of 4 hours, meaning they will take two 30-minute breaks. Some bands can perform for 3 hours nonstop, usually for an additional fee. Exact timing can be adjusted based on your event schedule and your agent will confirm the details with the artist during booking.
