Stacey Franklin is a sought-after professional harpist and soprano who delights concert audiences and party guests alike with her shimmering voice and expressive artistry. The native Houstonian collaborates with local arts organizations such as Ars Lyrica, The Houston Ballet, The Houston Chamber Choir, The Kingwood Pops Orchestra, and The Clear Lake Symphony, among others. A recent career highlight is her 2020 GRAMMY award for vocal collaboration on the 2019 album Duruflé: The Complete Choral Works. For nearly 10 years, she was the resident harpist at The St. Regis Hotel Houston for daily Afternoon Tea service and continues to perform there regularly. In addition to weddings, Stacey is a featured harp soloist at extravagant galas, large scale corporate events, and community celebrations, playing at such notable venues as The Houstonian, The Houston Country Club, Hotel Zaza, The Post Oak Hotel, the Rice Hotel’s historic Crystal Ballroom, and the Museum of Fine Arts Houston, to name a few.
Stacey Franklin began her musical training on piano at age three and harp at age seven. Her love of singing began in church and school choirs and soon progressed to formal voice training. Having earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance from Baylor University, Stacey continued her education at opera apprenticeship programs in Los Angeles and San Francisco. Most recently she honed her jazz skills in performance, interpretation, improvisation, and composition at The New York Voices International Vocal Jazz Institute. Also a founding member of the acapella quartet Prince Street Singers, a proficient ukulele player, and a private harp and voice instructor, she maintains an active musical presence in the greater Houston area.
