While founded in 2018, Adrian Michael and the Greenway Band brings together a trio of popular performers who have been individually rocking Houston and tour stops around the country for years. What began as a high-energy residency at the city’s posh Hotel ZaZa has morphed into an in-demand entertainment business for members Adrian Michael, Sergio Garza and Angel Perez with its three-piece core frequently swelling to an orchestra of 10 to accommodate events spanning from weddings and bar mitzvahs to corporate parties and private events. Upbeat, tailor-made experiences also reflect the musical range of The Greenway Band, which covers a diversity of genres including Top 40 pop, country hits, classic Motown and soul. It’s all par for the course given its talent: vocalist and guitarist Michael, a former American Idol contestant who has sang more than his fair share of national anthems for professional sporting events; keyboardist Garza, the musical director of Encourager Church; and drummer and percussionist Perez, well known for his time working with Blue October.
