The Choraleers started singing together at Texas Southern University over 40 ago and the current members have been in the group an average of 25 years. The group supports a music scholarship at Phyllis Wheatley High School, named in honor of former Choraleer, the late Alvino Fleeks. The Choraleers perform only during the holiday season, regularly donating their talent to hospitals, nursing homes, schools and churches.
