GCE Wedding Spotlight: Addie & Dustin

We love Relish Houston! Meaning, we order all the time and they can probably predict our orders when we call.  When owner Addie {D’Agostino} Teague came to us while planning her wedding with fiancé and co-owner Dustin, we were anxious to hear the big ideas for this foodie couple’s Austin nuptials. Right off the bat we knew it was going to be very unique and intimate.  Of course the food would be fabulous, so the music definitely had to be on par.

Addie and Dustin tied the knot in a gorgeous outdoor ceremony at the ultra hip St. Cecilia hotel. Our favorite go to Austin string group, Terra Visa Strings provided classical ceremony music under the gorgeous sprawling oak tree.

Next, guests moved to the patio and the strings transitioned to contemporary music for cocktails and dinner. This group really does it all – Beethoven to Bruno Mars!

It would be a crime NOT to show you the beautiful food, including a live barbeque, deviled eggs and oysters. The flowers were bold, and it seemed to be one big elegant outdoor barbecue with close friends and family.   Who’s hungry?!

After cutting the cake and a sparkling send off from party #1, the entire wedding moved up the street to the Continental Club for dancing and more celebrations. They chose the Austin based Memphis Train Revue, for their party band.  MTR has been playing together for almost 20 years! They are a 9-piece R&B band comprised of powerhouse vocals, horn and rhythm sections,  and a lot of SOUL! They have truly been a favorite of our brides for many many years.

The band welcomed the guests playing as they arrived, and the couple kicked the party off by sharing their first dance to the Black Keys, “You’re The One”.

Memphis Train performed on the main club stage, concert style, providing a non-stop continuous 3-hour show. No breaks for this party! Production was a breeze as the venue has a built in stage and sound. A band and client’s dream.

Two parties in one night! We knew this was going to be an epic wedding, and it was such a pleasure to work with creative types like Addie and Dustin. It’s always fun to showcase your own style and strengths to make it truly unique. Sometimes underestimated, focusing a bit more on the music and aligning live music groups with your overall vision is crucial to creating an unforgettable party for you and your guests.

If you’re in Houston, please visit the NEW Relish location on Westheimer! They have an amazing lunch, and now serve DINNER.  You won’t be disappointed. You can learn more about Terra Vista Strings and Memphis Train Revue by visiting www.www.gulfcoastentertainment.com.

Heart and SOUL,
