GCE Real Wedding Spotlight: Emily + Lee
A Classic Austin Wedding with a Contemporary Spin on Texas Chic
On an enchanting afternoon in early Fall 2021, Emily and Lee sealed their vows inside the elegant chapel of the Commodore Perry Estate in Austin, Texas. The wedding ceremony was fully of fairytale whimsy and contemporary elegance, utilizing the extraordinary talents of Katy Preisler of Keely Thorne Events to design the weekend. Arrangements of vines and roses encompassed the newlyweds and lined the isles of their guests.
The couple’s beloved dogs, Murphy and Reese, assisted during the ceremony, by serving as ring bearer and flower girl. The bride and groom’s furry friends played significant roles throughout the day and night.
After their “I do’s,” the newlyweds and their guests were whisked into a magnificent reception across the estate’s property.
The reception tent’s gold hue radiated across the estate, delighting wedding guests upon their entry. Orchids and roses were in abundance throughout the venue, and underscored the reception’s picture-perfection.
The reception kicked off with a first dance to “Forever After All,” by Luke Combs, and crescendoed into a crowd surfing, high energy night, dancing to the tunes of the Powerhouse Band from Florida.
Lee and Emily were glamorously escorted in a vintage vehicle lined by sparklers. Their departure was a perfect end to their fairy-tale evening.
