Jazz and Swing

There are many types of jazz but it’s almost always easy to listen to, with an unpretentious, spontaneous feeling, and a wide range of emotion. We have included in this category groups (both instrumental and vocal)who can play New Orleans traditional jazz, ragtime, Dixieland, Swing-era, cool-jazz, smooth-jazz and latin jazz.

Jazz Revisited

From Houston, TX Jazz Revisited specializes in New Orleans jazz and Dixieland. Their repertory consists of works from the early jazz era, inlcuding songs made popular by Louis Armstrong, Fats Waller, W.C.Handy, Al Jolson, Irving Berlin, Cole Porter, the Gershwins and many others. They usually work as a trio with guitar, string bass and soprano sax, an instrumentation that is ideal for providing quiet background music suitable for conversation and dining.
