Sam’s connection to live music runs deep. A lifelong musician, he’s been performing since he was 15. Before joining Gulf Coast Entertainment, he spent time playing in various bands throughout high school and college and even out west to Los Angeles, performing up and down the famed Sunset Strip! Along the way, he worked at a company building guitar amps, made great industry connections, and learned firsthand what makes a great show day. That hands-on experience gives him a unique understanding of both the artist’s perspective and the client’s vision—an invaluable bridge when crafting events that resonate on every level.

Sam joined GCE in 2016, bringing a fresh lens and an extensive network of connections to the team. In 2021, he joined as partner and now serves as Director and Principal, helping lead the company into its next chapter. From coordinating national touring acts to discovering standout local talent, Sam thrives on the variety and challenge each event brings. He’s known for his calm under pressure, collaborative spirit, and ability to translate a client’s vision into a perfectly orchestrated musical experience.

Through the years, Sam has gathered no shortage of memorable moments—driving James Taylor through downtown Houston, witnessing an impromptu duet between Idina Menzel and a close friend, and even getting a personal “thank you” text from Diana Ross. But for Sam, the real reward comes in that quiet, electric second before a performance begins—when the lights dim, the music starts, and all the planning turns into pure magic.
