Their roster is comprised of highly-trained young professional musicians who perform and are sought around the country; many of whom are performers with the Houston Symphony, Grand Opera, River Oaks Chamber Orchestra, Mercury Baroque, and Houston Ballet. In addition to strings, they feature Trumpet, Harp, Piano, Guitar, and Vocalists. They consider every event to be a performance, and, like any concert or recital, preparation is key. Houston’s Original Pop String Quartet has been wowing guests performing genres like Hip Hop, Pop, Rock, Country, R&B, & all of your favorite artists & bands! Since 2009 the Amp’d String Quartet has been mesmerizing audiences with their innovative pop arrangements, percussive and vibrant performances, and world-class live musicians. This specialized group of musicians go beyond their traditional, Classical music training and bring to life artists of every genre and decade. Amp’d String Quartet quickly became Divisi Strings’ most popular ensemble and set the company apart from many groups in Houston and around the country. It is for that reason that we have traveled to Los Angeles, Chicago, Miami, Playa del Carmen, Mexico, and many more to bring our one of a kind sound to private & corporate events, recordings, and the concert stage!
