Houston’s premier Western Swing band, The Wild River Band merges regional ethnic, country/cowboy, and bluegrass music from the 20’s and 30’s with post-WWII big band music for a highly danceable style. It typically features guitar, mandolin, banjo, steel guitar, fiddle, saxophone, bass, and drums. Their sound lands somewhere between Bob Wills and Asleep at the Wheel.
